The installation and removal of exhibits should follow the plans of the Secretariat. In doing so, the concerned companies should report to the Secretariat and receive confirmation.


Establishment and Operation of Bonded Goods Exhibition Hall  
 

In this exhibition hall, foreign goods can be exhibited without any import clearance procedures with special permission of establishment and operation of the bonded exhibition hall from the Customs Office in Seoul.


Installation and Removal of Domestic Goods   
¨ç

Domestic goods are defined as goods produced in Korea or foreign goods temporarily cleared of import restrictions.

¨è

If the products to be exhibited are heavy goods, these should be brought in by August 20, 2007. If they are small or lightweight goods, they are advised to be brought in and set up by August 21, 2007, if possible (installation of products during the exhibition period is prohibited).

¨é

When bringing in or removing domestic goods, for those companies that need heavy equipment (forklift), the Secretariat shall make the necessary preparations at the following expense:
?20,000 won/30 min. (Korean currency only)
?When the weight is 3 tons or more, a separate price shall be applied.

A. Details
  a.

Method to exhibit through simple import clearance without regular important clearance.

  b.

After the exhibition, the concerned company can send their products back to their originating country, or can import them through regular import pro- cedures.

  c.

The import clearance procedure is like the above. However, the concerned company should receive a goods transfer document and write an import report before clearance.

  d.

When inspecting the bringing in or removal of exhibited products, a person who can elaborate the contents should be present at the inspection site.

  e.

All goods brought in the bonded exhibition area may not move to another place without pre-approval from the Secretariat or Customs Office.

  f.

When the price of each consumable item to be distributed for free to spectators during the exhibition period, is USD 5.00 (as of 2004), these will be taxed.

 

 

B.

Transportation method

  a.

The port of destination should be Busan or Incheon, and the airport of arrival should be Incheon International Airport.

  b.

The final date for goods arrival in Korea is August, 10 2007; therefore, all exhibitors should prepare their participation in the exhibition, accordingly.

  c.

After the products to be exhibited arrive at port, special bonded goods transportation to and from the bonded warehouse should be organized.

  d.

As for any firm that deals with bonded goods to be exhibited in Korea, exhibits should choose among transportation companies in the attached list as chosen by the Secretariat (See Shipping Manual in the attachment).

How to fill out the shipping documents

  a.

The product exhibition company should indicate the consignee or notification address as follows:

Please indicate exhibition goods for PRINKOR 2005 on the B/L and invoice (i.e., Exhibition Goods for PRINKOR 2005).

  c.

The products to be exhibited and consumable goods should be separately indicated on the invoice and packing list. Also, these should be separately packaged.

  d.

When preparing the B/L, a small volume of goods to be exhibited should be written on a B/L.

ATA-Carnet Condition

A.

Details

  a.

As a simple clearance method for the exhibition, bonded transportation shall not be required in the case of Carnet clearance from the agency in advance; however, there are conditions for resending the goods back to the originating country.

  b.

With regard to the clearance procedure, the owner of the goods should receive an exhibition participation confirmation letter from the Secretariat, and the owner of the goods should conduct the Carnet clearance procedure at the arrival port.

 

 

B.

Transportation method and Shipping Documents preparation method

  a.

This method is the same as the bonded goods transportation method. Please indicate the agency as consignee on the shipping documents.
